Cookie Policy
This page lists everything this website stores in your browser. The list comes from inspecting the site itself, not from a template.
The short version
The site sets no cookies. It has no analytics, advertising or social media tools, and it loads no scripts, fonts or images from other companies. It keeps a single entry in your browser's local storage: the choice you make in the cookie window.
Cookies and local storage
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser and that the browser sends back with later requests. Local storage is a similar place in the browser where a site can keep data; unlike a cookie, the browser does not send it to the server. The same rules apply to both, so this policy covers both.
What this site stores
- Name
- riva_consent
- Type
- Local storage
- Purpose
- Remembers your choice in the cookie window: the settings version, the date of the choice, and the optional categories you accepted. No optional categories exist at present, so this list is always empty. It is not sent to our server.
- Category
- Necessary
- Set by
- This site (first party)
- Kept for
- 12 months, after which the site asks again. Earlier if you clear the site data or if we change the settings version.
The entry appears only after you press a button in the cookie window. Until then the site stores nothing in your browser.
Categories
- Necessary: always on. This is the single entry described above.
- Optional (analytics, advertising and similar): not in use. No such tool is installed on this site, so the settings window has nothing to switch on.
If we ever add an optional tool, we will list it on this page, change the settings version and ask you again. Nothing optional runs before you accept it.
How to change your choice
You can change your choice at any time. Use the button below or the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
You can also delete the entry yourself by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. The site will then ask again on your next visit.
Legal basis
Storage that is strictly necessary to provide what you asked for does not need consent under the EU ePrivacy rules (Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC). Remembering your choice falls into that group. Anything optional would need your consent first. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data in general.
Changes and language
We update this page whenever what the site stores changes. It is published in English and in Traditional Chinese; if the two versions differ, the English version prevails.
